Donovan Fisher, 17, of Hamilton, received the National Eagle Scout Service Project of the Year Award from the Washington Crossing Council of the Boy Scouts.

Fisher is a senior at Hamilton High School West. For his Eagle Project he supervised the building of a baseball field that was sponsored by VFW Post 491 in Hamilton. To reach Eagle, a scout must have 21 merit badges. Fisher has exceeded that, earning 59.

The Hamilton resident, who will be attending the University of Kansas in the fall, has sold more than $107,000 worth of Trail’s End products to support scouting, raising more than $75,000 for the Boy Scouts. He is second highest seller of the products.

Fisher is President of the Washington Crossing Council Teen Programs Officers Association and has received the Venturer Summit Award from the Boy Scouts.
